Dan Andrews
Baritone
Born in “Music City, USA”, (Nashville, TN) on July 26th, 1950. Dan was raised on the music of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves and other
country music legends of the day; as well as being neighbors to some other famous folk like the Hemphills, the Carter Family and Randy Scruggs.
Dan became interested in gospel music from watching the “Old Time Singing Convention” on TV. The musical influences in Dan’s life were his mother and his
Aunt Marian who sang together as a duet. Dan majored in music education at Middle Tennessee State University and sang with a number of groups
and ensembles before joining Harmony.
Dan accepted the Lord at the age of 12 on Palm Sunday 1962. After many years of service as a young man, he fell away from the church for a while. In
a Christmas Service in 1978, he felt the Lord’s urging to once again turn his life over to Him. Since then, he has served in an active way, serving in ministry
and on Church boards and through the ministry of music evangelism. His desire is to stay close to the Word in his daily life.
Dan has been privileged to share the stage with such gospel legends as the Speers, the Bishops, James Blackwood, and the Dove Brothers.
Dan and his wife Jeryl currently reside in Plano, TX.
